A different Christmas

My husband and I are usually alone on Christmas Day. Gatherings with Myk's family happen before the big day and my family are all overseas. The weather was so good this year we decided to spend the day exploring. I made beef stew in the crock pot so that we would have a hearty meal on our return and packed up a picnic lunch. We grabbed our winter gear and headed out to Empire, MI. 

I had always wanted to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes. They were amazing. It felt so good to get some exercise and fresh air. It was quiet, the sun was shining and I couldn't have been happier. I can't wait to go back
